Brain-building games. Pay attention only to appropriate for this age games. This may be a set of geometric figures, domestic animals, wild animals, vehicles or a book with the parts of the human's body or face. The important is the child to start learning and to develop its memory i.e. to remember the animals, the beasts, to be able to show the parts of its face etc.
Musical toys also have a good success. Drums, piano, penny-whistle everything will fill with joy the little hero. These toys are not just as a pastime. At one the baby begins to realize the difference between the cause and result. "What this button does? Wow! And the red one?". Just do not forget to ask the salesman to try the toy in the store. It should not be too noisy at least you will be the public of the recitals.
An excellent gift can be a children's tent. The child will arrange it as a real house it will be its own palace. Of course the other occupants will be the favorite toys. At the summer we can put the tent in the back yard. This kind of gift has only one bad side - usually it takes a lot of place and will not be comfortable if we put it in a small room.

The chalks for asphalt are good for the small artist especially if you have enough space in the back yard. There is special painting for the bath. It becomes brighter of water. To provoke the fantasy of the child you can get a coloring book. Just do not expect to limit the talent of the artist in the outline of the images. As a variation of that you can choose a kit of stamps. Select clear and simple stamps.
For the memory ... At the first anniversary we want to give something significant. Of course, the baby will not appreciate such a gift that it is not possible to play with and taste it. It is not very attractive. But if we like we can create a family relic. It may be:
